The winner is ambushed and then has to sign a publicity waiver(winner's face can not be shown before this is done for legal reasons) which is why the ambush is not shown live. I found out about this little technacality a few years back when my daughter and I were attending a WW meeting and one of the members was being filmed for a reality show. If any other members were filmed they had to sign a waiver allowing the production company to use them in the show if needed

SoUtNative, You are so right that many of us could not afford to live in this "Dream Home". That is why I have decided that if I were to win I would have to take the cash and fix up the house I have. Mtgsc, I remember one winter when my aunt called us to see if our schools were closed because we had 18 in of snow ( no such luck!) She figuredvthat since SC got close to an inch and my cousins schools were closed that surely our schools IN CO would be closed!!!

Lessie, I was sitting on the sofa watching Tv and felt alight movement of air.Iwent to brush off what I thought was just a cathair, screamed and jumped off the couch. LUCKILY. the spider landed on a pillow that my daughter calmly picked up and took outside then shook the spider off. We make a good team as I don't like spiders and she doesn't like snakes. The playroom was designed for my family especially my youngest granddaughter!!! She Has a very rare genetic disorder and one of the results is that she is very sensitive to the sun(partial albino bur she loves to be right in the middle of everything. With the playroom everyone would be coming in to play with her and she would still be outdoors

sounds like you are from the area? I was just wondering if building codes say that houses are built one story up is the playroom legal? I love the playroom but I'm wondering why so many beautiful things would be put in a space that could possibly flood (like the 60" tv largest in the house)

Bounce is also suppossed to keep Spiders adn other insects out of your home,Just wipe around your doors and window sills and any where else insects are likely to get in, I can't say this works as I have never tried it. We hired an exterminator service after a wolf spider crawled out of our couch and was sitting on my hand!!

Hello everyone. It has been a while since I have been on any of the HGTV blogs but I just had to add my excitement about this Dream Home. I can only say BEAUTIFUL. Winning this home would mean getting back to my roots as my cousin has traced my mother's family back to 1650 Charleston. My mother grew up halfway between Charleston and Savannah GA and as far as I know she is the only one who moved away permanently (everyone else has come back) I would love to go back in her place!!!!

I was lucky enough to tour the Green Home this past Saturdayn the with my daughter and sister. All of the tour guides were telling everyone that the winner was taking the cash so the was up for sale. My daughter was in shock when she foundn out that you could take the cash and still win the car (she thought it was all cash or all prize). She liked the actual house better then the pictures and videoson line but insists that she would take the cash too because the house still has too many stairs. She prefers a ranch as we now own a triplex and the stairs are a killer. CONGRATUALATIONS TO DEBBIE AND FAMILY!!!! If you did take the cash I hope you have the option to change your mind(like you do if you win the lotto) because once you see the house you just might!!!

CplusE, I like Wyo_Girl grew up close to the Stapleton airport . I now reside in Broomfield but work close to the Stapleton area. I am planning on taking the tour if they have one. My problem right now is that Idon't know the address of the green home so I can check it out. People here are spoiled because if their streets aren't plowed by day 2 they start complaining and blaming the mayor, govenor or whom ever. Since our street is plowed on one side and the snow is then piled in the gutters and blocks the driveways if there is more than 4-5 inches I can relate to your not having snowplows
