You are exactly right, many local shelter people are wannabe animal cops. It is not about animal welfare to them, it is about power tripping and grandiose delusions.

Again, Gabby, they SAY it will shut down cruel puppy mills because that is how they get you to back them, but if you compare current law with proposition B you will see it actually lessens the standard of care in some areas and is senseless and even dangerous for dogs in others.
Numbers are what it's really about. At only ten dogs they impose unrealistic rules the average pet owner, vets, grooming shops, shelters, and they themselves do not have to abide by. If it is a minimal standard of care and that's all it is, then WHY are they exempt? Seriously ask yourself that question.
Here is the comparison. http://www.showmedaily.org/2010/10/would-prop-b-r...

They don't know what nature really is, for if they did they'd understand that dogs will chew through fence to breed on every heat cycle with any dog be it father, mother, sister, or cousin they can get to first. So don't tell me about 'forced' breeding.
Leave the sick abusive true puppy millers out of it, I don't agree with them, and find out what it takes to pour your heart, talent, passion, intelligence, thousands of dollars, and labor into studying bloodlines, temperament testing, training, medicating, raising new life from the moment you see it's emergence from it's mother's womb, grooming, loving and saying goodbye to more beloved companions than you feel your heart can take. You do that, then let strangers or a radical organization come along and tell you you're too stupid to know when to let your own dog outside.
Then, and only then, we can have a serious conversation about Proposition B.
