I skimmed both articles, Clare. Each contained all the appropriate buzz-words and the routine smears that were heaped upon Dr. Paul throughout this last election cycle AND the one before that. It's called "smear by association," a very effective Alinskyite tactic. And it's quite clear that Mr. Smyth is speaking for interests that do not coincide with the best interests of America and the American people, in my anything but humble opinion.

I find it interesting that no one here mentions (or cares to admit) that the treatment meted out by the RNC establishment to the constituency of Ron Paul during the primary process effectively excluded millions of energized young people that might have made the difference in this last election. That's not to say that Ron Paul would have been the candidate, even if all the chicanery and cheating and outright fascist and unAmerican shenanigans by the party bosses hadn't taken place during the Primaries and the Republican Convention. But had those milling hordes of energetic young people not been shat upon by checked-pants corporate RINOs and vilified by special-interest wonks (AIPAC), then the Republican candidate would surely have garnered the several millions of votes needed to defeat Barack Obama last November. The fact is that millions of people did not vote for the Republican candidate specifically because of the way the party treated Dr. Paul, his ideas, his delegates and his followers. I know this for a fact because I am one of them and I know hundreds that, like me, could not bring themselves to vote for another "lesser-of-two-evils." The Republican party is dead.

Islam is not a religion, it is an ideology. Islam was founded upon hatred and intolerance, was spread through violence, coercion and war and is maintained to this day through intimidation and fear. Muslims represent a clear and present danger to public safety since all muslims are enjoined by the tenets of their ideology to engage in jihad warfare against all non-muslims. In my opinion, all professed muslims in the United States should be interned and deported to the "muslim land" of their choice. Those that resist should be put down like rabid dogs. The interests of America and the American people will always come first for me, as it should for all Americans, and to put a litmus test upon an elected or appointed official based upon what their views may be concerning any foreign nation is unAmerican and traitorous, in my opinion. I don't support Mr. Obama in general, but he is our President, and this clamor that has arisen over his choice for a cabinet position based upon the wild suppositions of people who clearly place Israeli interests before American interests disgusts me.
