I enjoy Dominic Noble's videos, too. He's funny.

Anyway, here are a few more reaction channels I like:
Rival Reacts - lots of Disney and MCU, also LOTR/Hobbit, Harry Potter, and other movies
Sean Thompson - mostly TV such as The Vampire Diaries, the 100, etc.
SebScreen - Harry Potter, LOTR/Hobbit, MCU and other movies

As far as I'm concerned, the Guardian of Forever counts, so I'd give you a point for prediction #9. ;)

Well, I guess this is it...

I started following your writing around the time of Mark Reads Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and I've greatly enjoyed your takes on some of my favourite books and TV shows, so thank you for that, and I hope you do drop off the occasional review in the future as you indicated in the last paragraph of your post.

Until then...

Noted, and my point is that, notwithstanding Michael's picking up a new obsession basically the moment she lands in the future, the one place she is most likely to eventually visit is Vulcan, so it makes sense for Gabrielle to wait for her there.

Book and Michael were nowhere near Earth -- and thus also nowhere near Vulcan -- during the year before the Discovery arrived, and I'm pretty sure she says at the beginning of "People of Earth" that they couldn't travel that far on their own. That being said, I agree that it's a bit weird she didn't inquire about the state of Vulcan once they reached the Federation. I suppose her obsession with the Burn drove that out of her mind.

Because for Michael Vulcan is home. I don't know about you, but if I'd been flung into the distant future, I'd like to find out what became of my home...

I hadn't previously thought about it that way, but I think you're absolutely right: for Gabrielle, Ni'Var / Vulcan would be the most likely planet to go to and await Michael's appearance in the future.

I'd say the severity of the culture shock of a 930 year jump into the future depends on from when to when it takes place. I mean, a jump from the 3rd to the 12th century for example wouldn't be nearly as devastating as a jump from the 12th to the 21st century.

True, they could burn methane for power, but on the other hand in order to do that you need oxygen, which isn't readily available and requires energy in turn to produce from common sources such as water, so I think they'd rather put that towards slightly more essential uses such as breathing. ;)
