When Celestia used the elements of harmony the elements were literal objects.

By Twilight's time the elements of harmony were literally the mane six, to which they would be --- channeled --- by necklaces respective to each of the mane six

Lose one mane six - no element of harmony power. Its not about twilight's skill level. Even Celestia said she can no longer use the elements.

Ask the 2000 - 3000 people tracked who were actually used to estimate these numbers.

Nielsen ratings are not reliable when the show has an expansive fandom.

Gravity falls also has plummeted ratings despite heightened popularity - making me think the Nielsen ratings are losing their reliability.

Nielsen only tracks a predetermined sample of 2000 - 3000 people (much if not most of whom are adults). I'm thinking they should switch from tracking to direct feedback surveying.

If you are talking about the ratings - they don't matter. They are NIELSEN ratings used to track discovery family's performance, nothing more. Toy sales tracks's hasbro's will to put money into the series.

People are worried that this could be a series finale yet Hasbro's 2014 investor report announced that the next 5 years (ie 2014- 2019 ) has been planned out for MLP FIM. Ie new content through 2019.

During the Sony hack of Dec 2014, Sony's reaction to the first outline of the movie was leaked. There was no indication of it being a series finale.
