Rabbi Creditor says "Rabbi Jason Klein is the first openly gay president of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association." Actually, Rabbi Toba Spitzer was the first openly gay president of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association (ok, openly lesbian) a number of years back.

Rav Shafran decries the secular, Reform, Conservative and otherwise non-Orthodox Jews. He demeans Modern and Open Orthodox Jews. Now, he insults completely frum, yeshivish Jews who are shomer mitzvah why? because their hearts aren't into it the way say, a giant of musar like Rav Ahron Feldman is.

Honestly Forward, can you ask Rav Shafran to say something positive, nice or affirming about Jews? He has to be the most negative "public affairs" writer in history.

Sigal, whatever rumors went flying in the first hours following this horrific murder, Israeli police arrested and obtained confessions from Israeli Jews within days. Talk about a justice system. What possible referent do we have anywhere in the Arab or Islamic world?
