I think the idea is to figure out the range? Or to show in the most stark terms that, yes, raw killing power equates to more victories overall. You do have a point, though. For example, even good Tau lists are pretty low across the board numbers-wise and can fare reasonably well.

I find that the plasma rifles are extra-strength expensive, and TL-MP are pretty reasonable in the current state of the game. This leaves me open to take some units of FW with carbines in fish, which act as a sort-of slow blocker as a backup for my kroot. I run what ends up being a hybrid of what you posted and the recent (pretty decently fluffed) lists Stelek posted. Fish are expensive, it's true, but TL pods gives you a pretty large max range to play with (since you're less tempted to get those extra AP2 shots), are cheaper, and let you take fewer markerlights (as only your railguns really care). The problem is a loss of AP, but I find torrenting down expensive guys not terribly difficult. I'll post a Tau Nike-based statline of my army (at whatever points you guys test at) when I find the list in an edit.

My advice would be not to use bladestorm and spend the exarch and power points elsewhere. Even on more bodies.

The stats are useful mostly to point out weaknesses, rather than getting the "largest numbers" possible to win. However, the scaling on the numbers isn't linear (IE: the difference between 20 and 25 is far greater than the difference between 45 and 50), the required minimums are very different depending on your army (DMS & DMCC might be able to be summed in certain lists, but one may be almost ignored in another), and the list doesn't differentiate between ranged vehicle kill/stun and melee, so be extra careful.

To mitigate these points, try the following:
1. linear scaling: use a log scale list, or divide the difference by the average
2. No good solution, use your judgement to decide whether you really think that the 1.5DMCC from your tac squad is worth them charging
3. Perhaps subcategories for CC vehicle kills

I like them because of their place in pop culture history. Specifically, as the final evolution of sharks.

1. Sewer Shark(s)
2. Street Sharks
3. Space Sharks

The batreps in WD are ads. I'd think that you could balance the studio model battles with tournament battles. Why not have both? Obviously you're going to run a fluff battle at the release of every new mini/codex/expansion to showcase the new thing you're selling. Why not just have a few tournament lists in there as well?

Note: I am not suggesting that Kirby should bring his army in a fight against one of those "one unit of every type" armies. I'm just saying that there is room in WD for both tournament reports and lists as well as pretty studio shots of games that are, in all honestly, decided mostly by what makes the best picture than what makes the best tactical choice. Not that there's anything wrong with that in moderation.

I give your troll a 5/10. Poor execution, no point, and evasive (all pluses). But your misuse of quotation marks and a hyphen really cost you.

@Louisa: Yes, a lot of people with actual ADHD don't find out until later in their life (as in, post-medicated-6-year-old like the OP is complaining about). Totally agree with you, as well, medication is not a magic bullet in any stretch of the term. I'm glad that you found a solution, and agree that a more constructive conversation to have would be to talk about the lack of information from mental health professionals. While medication is a help, the other coping strategies are required to really come out of the slump.

Probably the most difficult thing is what the troll brought up: a mental disorder is hard to convince someone of because everyone feels like you describe to some extent. It's really with interaction with people who actually have ADHD (inattentive or hyperactive) that someone can really understand what the differences are. Otherwise, what, depression? I get sad too! OCD? I like it when things are organized. Psychopathy and/or Narcissism? I care about myself, too!

@OP: Yes, humans are poorly designed as a species for the environment we have created for ourselves. We have serious flaws as a species, like the brain's ability to pattern everything and apply those patterns wherever it can. That was great in the forest, where seeing a predator clearing let us avoid danger. Now it gives us conspiracy theories. Or our love of the tastes of salt, fructose and fat. Great for finding energy-rich food. Now it makes us love food that is unhealthy for us in large doses.

I give your troll an 8. Subtle enough to catch someone, but you used a guest account. Good effort, but if you want to see a 10, OMGitsMCD has it covered. All the best trolls have some truth in them

"Chatbawks"... on the ones side, of course. "The New Black" on the six (if it fits, of course, and if the dice are pink as the images lead me to think they are)

Only if you fail your Red Thirst rolls. Or is it succeed? Personally, I like ATSKNF more than fearless.
