Re: monty bladder

"Bladder" makes me think of Black Adder. Now of course adders and pythons are very different, but they *are* both snakes.

There was a line earlier about women writing being an abomination unto Nuggan, and Polly being an exception so she could help Paul run the inn later.

When they joined up, most of the recruits signed with an X.

I understand what you're getting at. On the flip side, being told that friendship is lesser than romance (rather than different + equally important) tells aros that our relationships will always be lesser than alloromantic relationships.

Tonker + Lofty's relationship is deep and important. They obviously have a close bond (which I read as romantic). I'm sorry that aro discourse makes you feel erased. A lot of us are quite hair-trigger about it, especially so soon after the nightmare that is pride month.

It might be partially due to Blouse's short-sightedness, and also confirmation bias. If you're expecting "unshaved" on your troops to look like a 5 o'clock shadow, then you might not notice anything less than that.

Can confirm that women called "Granny" are awesome.

(I've only known one IRL but she was mine. Among other things, she managed to make a living as a single mom in the 50's, told wonderful stories + jokes, and swam across a lake when she was in her fifties.)
