Other than UNICEF (which likely has a scandal that I'm not aware of), has the UN ever done anything worth while? Oil for food scandal. Ridiculous rules of engagement that make UN troops ineffective when they are needed, Darfur fiasco, electing the Government of Sudan to be a watchdog for human rights, corrupt UN inspection programs, useless unenforced resolution after resolution against Saddam, sex scandals, and on and on and on... They are not incidental blots on the reputation of an otherwise idealistic organization. The scandals are inherent in the very structure of the U.N. I'll never understand why so many people put their faith in an organization with such a despicable track record.

Hey. Don't stop with pot. Legalize cocaine, heroin, hydrocodone, inhalants, LSD, ecstasy, meth, OxyContin, Steroids, and all the other illegal drugs. After all, it is all about personal choice and tax revenue. How about prostitution too? Tax it. Sport hunting of prison inmates - there's a sport that would generate revenue and taxes and help California with the prison overload. The possibilities are unlimited.
