That is not what this is.. the "volunteers" were told to stop taking over and invoking... the funerals are however the FAMILIES want... those who perform the funerals were also told to abide by the family's wishes. But noooo they had to do it THEIR way.. so they were told to go.

It seems many people in Houston have forgotten that they not only do not own our fallen, the funerals for these men and women are not for them. The funerals are for the families. For these people to feel they can impose or invoke whatever beliefs they have on others during a time of grief is disrespectful. Not every Fallen soldier is Christian and some families do not want to deal with some good doer invoking their beliefs on them. My son was an atheist.. the military was very careful to follow our wishes and not invoke religion. I would have been PISSED if some "volunteer" changed the funeral we planned for my son.. How dare these people try to take over these finally good byes and make them what THEY WANT and not what the families want!! The fact that they have pushed themselves into a position that they had to be told to shut up and go away tells me they have NO RESPECT for the families and have repeatedly overstepped their bounds.

My Grandfather was the gardener at a friend of Mr. Reagan's home. While Mr. Reagan was the CA Governor he and Mrs. Reagan would often stay there to relax and get away for a weekend. On one of these visit my grandfather had accidentally let the dogs out and one of them bit Mr. Reagan on his backside. My grandfather was terrified that he had been hurt.. Mr. Reagan chuckles dropped his pants and asked how bad it was. He then helped my grandfather put the dogs back in the pen.. These two men began to talk.. my grandfather was "just" the gardener but he was a wise man and he and Mr. Reagan actually become friends. I was told once you can tell a man's true character by how he treats people he doesn't need. Well Mr. Reagan most assuredly had no need for the man who keep the grounds at his friend's home yet he always took the time to ask about his family and to send him a Christmas cards... My grandfather held a great respect for him and for my grandfather to respect a person they damn well had to earn it. Rest In Peace Mr. Reagan and Happy Birthday ( You and grandpa have a cold one with my boy please)

I was raised in a Hispanic home.. I have seen the value the hispanic culture holds for family and hard work... but those values are eroding in the younger generations. I can completely understand those people who simply are searching for a better life by coming to the US. But there is a right way to do everything...that said... Anyone who still is under the delusion that our border issues are only about people coming into the US to find work and provide for their families needs to wake the hell up and quick. The problem once was people JUST coming across our borders illegally to take job but no longer is that the main issue we need to be concerned with. For several years now we have people speaking modern standard arabic. Mr. Dollard and his teams have found and recorded evidence of arabic writings in cave that illegals use while crossing into this country, This is now more than ever about our safety and national security. The Drug Cartels of Mexico are tied to muslim extremist. Taliban and Al qaeda get a great deal of funding for their terrorist acts through the poppy fields in Afghanistan.. the drug cartel sales their product. The violence is spilling over into our nation and if we in the US do not something to stop the flow of illegals coming across the border and to locate and remove those who are here to do us harm quickly we are going to be fighting a full on war in our streets. We MUST secure our borders! I fear it may already be too late...

Fact is most Gays I know in the military will not "come out:" but are relieved to know that if someone is looking to "get even" with them and finds out they are gay they will not lose their careers. The fraternization rules of conduct apply to all.. those should not be relaxed.. nor do I think those who are homosexual and in the military would want them too

The military is suppose to be about honor and integrity.. yet we ask many people who serve to lie about who they are. Gay people do not lack self control and will not be hitting on others simply because they no longer have to hide who they are. These men and women are the same people they were before, the only thing that has changed is others can no longer witch hunt them and remove them from serving this nation just as honorably as anyone else. When less than 1% of our population volunteer to serve I don't see how the other 99% get to bitch about a gay person serving. If you really don't want them serving maybe you should go fill the spot they would be. they are willing to write a check to this Nation up to and including their lives.. Gay or Straight should not and does not matter! Its their honor and selfless love of this nation that matters. You people should be ashamed of yourself for complaining about men and women who are willing to die for your freedom simply because you don't like who they may fall in love with. We are a nation built on FREEDOM. That means people get to live their lives as they see fit without the approval of others as long as they do not cost others their freedoms. You do not have to like Gay people.. but you don't get to take their freedoms from them because you don't like them. If you don't like homosexuality and disapprove by all means don't be gay. And trust me when I say this. the stereotypical Ru Paul type of gays will not be going to the recruiting office anytime soon.

He was a leader of an off shot of the Mahdi Army and he reported to Hajji Yusif, deputy commander... of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s Quds Force, Department of External Special Operations. This was the group who killed my son in Iraq.. so in my opinion Code Pink has my son's blood on their hands by funding the EFP that came from Iran through this group and the funding code Pink gave them.
