You're right. It is post-apocalyptic, I have it mis-labeled. I hope you read and enjoy it!

I highly recommend anything by Nalini Singh. She is one of my favorite authors ever. Do read in order - whichever series you decide to start on. They are both well worth the time. She does a magnificent job of balancing world building, character development, relationship building and plot. If you try her, I hope you'll let me know what you think :)

As far as I know the Rogue Elements shorts and Cassandra Palmer series don't cross each other at all. I will look into it though and see if I can verify that as I haven't read the Rogue Elements yet.

I usually count each title in the anthology - mostly because I don't often read the entire anthology ;)

The cover is definitely awesome! I think that there are a lot of people that will enjoy the book, and I definitely didn't hate it. I just wanted to get to know Charley better. I'm looking forward to seeing where the author takes us in the second book - Second Grave on the Left, which comes out on August 16th, 2011.

I would love to hear what you end up thinking of it!

I think this series continues to get better and better, and I'm so excited for the next book - Magic Slays - coming out at the end of May :) I agree with you - sometimes it's better to forget about a series for a while, then you've got so much deliciousness to catch up on! I'm glad you liked the review!!

I actually don't listen to a lot of audio books, I have the Harry Potter books on audio, and I've listened to them before. But I have a couple of problem with audio books, the biggest one being that I don't seem to absorb anything through them. So I'll get to the end of the book and wonder what the hell just happened, or I'll miss entire paragraphs of text and have to back up. Or I'd fall asleep LOL.

My other big problem with them is the person doing the reading. Sometimes they get it right, but more often than not it's one person doing all the 'characters' and it rarely works for me. For example the first Fever book I tried to listen to in audio and the way the woman did Barrons voice was so wrong to me that I had to immediately shut it off and scrub my brain to get that voice out of my mind.

I wish they'd have pairs doing audio books - a female for all the women's voices and a male for all the men's.

I've gotten a bit long winder and probably said more than I needed to. :P I am trying some more audio books lately, but only on books that I've read, or that I can read while listening. Audible had a whole bunch of them on sale for around $5 so I figured I couldn't lose (I think that sale ends today).

This one has about the same level of bdsm as Master of the Mountain, so if that wasn't too much this one should be good for you too. I really loved Kallie's hair on the cover too, lol. I hoe you enjoy it and I'm half you liked the review!

It's the only series I've read by her, but I will definitely be checking out others :)

History was one of my favorite subjects too! Seems a common theme around the book blogs today.

Stopping by for the 18+ Tag Along, and am a new follower. I see you're currently reading Romancing Mr. Bridgerton - that was my favorite of the series. I just finally read them all late last year!

You have me interested in Feist, I've never read. Thanks!
