Can't wait for this year's Crazy 4 Cult- I went opening night last year and there was a lot of really great stuff. So, the kid sitting behind Mr. Unkrich on the plane, then, could have peeked over the seat and seen TS3? Little bastard. I do love that that particular Kelvin and Enterprise meeting is "fictional", though. :-)

/Film : VOTD: Bruno Tea-bags Eminem at MTV Awards

I do kind of like the idea that if Zac Efron wants to show his grandma the moment he won an award on national TV, he has to show her that. Not that I think offending grannies is funny per se. This just kinda seems like a nice "f*** you" to Zac's moment to shine. :-) A way to 'taint' the experience, if you will. (Ooh, see what I did there?)

/Film : 3D Avatar and 2D Avatar to Be Rather Different Beasts

I really love 2.35 (both for shooting and viewing), but I'm of course gonna give Cameron the benefit of the doubt on this one. I've gotta say, I'm very, very intrigued. This movie has shot miles upward on my can't-wait list. Also, to add to the scope-shift-movie list, the theatrical cut of Galaxy Quest began in (I believe) 1.66, before shifting to scope around 20 minutes in. The DVD version is scope throughout.

/Film : Pixar's Up - What Did You Think?

My dad had a story from when he saw ET in theaters back in '82. There was a couple sitting in front of him that were really into the movie for pretty much the whole first half... the spacecraft leaving the little alien stranded on Earth, the little boy befriending the alien, the alien trying to make contact with his home world, and so on. But then the scene occurs where Elliot's bike rolls off the cliff, then lifts into the air and flies away... and the girl in front of my dad says, loudly, "oh, RIGHT". Some people have limits they just can't push past. :-)

Okay, I've gotta go see this now. I'm not generally a horror guy, but I surmise from the reactions of all my friends that the movie's a blast. I also surmise based on the above photo that Allison Lohman is very attractive. I'm sold.

Textbook example of pop psychobabble. Just TRY to deconstruct one of those sentences- once you do, you realize he's not actually saying anything, just chasing his tail in circles. Actually, 'beating himself off' is probably a better analogy though.

Very, very nice! I'm ALSO a big a fan of the mobile version y'all seem to have been testing over the past few days. Will that be permanent soon? This site as a whole is a beast to load over EDGE networks... though the new design does much better at this. Great job!

To be extra-fair, was that TV show actually Pixar, or a Disney show using licensed Pixar characters? I always assumed it was Disney, kind of like what they were planning to do with Toy Story 3.

/Film : The Road Movie Trailer

Hm... I love the imagery, Viggo has good taste in choosing projects, and the Proposition is brilliant, so I'm pretty psyched for this. The trailer does reek of desperate overcutting though. Hell- you could even make Jarhead look like an action movie with cutting like this. Oh, wait... On another note- that's not the wilhelm scream. It's kinda annoying, but it's not even close to the wilhelm. Just throwing that out there, cause I think I'm gonna go crazy if I don't. Notthewilhelm. Not.

I like Joe Johnston a lot, he's responsible for some of my favorite movies from childhood, and Honey I shrunk the Kids was the first movie I ever saw in theaters. I know that doesn't probably inspire confidence for y'all, but I've got a soft spot for he guy. :-) Plus- Rocketeer, man. Rocketeer. Defiantly holding out hope. I don't have much invested in the wolfman personally, so I'm just looking for a great ime.

Floating robot heads. The standee was pretty kickass- much more dynamic with the same basic design/theme. This one feels... static. Like an Olan Mills photograph. Although, an Olan Mills photo featuring giant robots actually WOULD be kinda kickass, so maybe should take that back.
