Google Android Blog : Sprint switching to 4G LTE beginning in 2012

no, LTE requires a certain hardware. you might get better network performance because Sprint offloads some traffic to other formats, but you won't be on LTE.

Google Android Blog : HTC sales uncharacteristically down, Samsung phone sales way up

iPhone 4S was a huge seller and the decline came around the same time as the release. Plus you have to remember the difference in audience size. A 1% gain for Apple is still a boatload of phones compared to what HTC, a smaller manufacturer, does. There's a lot of room in that 1% for people who might have bought an HTC phone but went with an iPhone instead. It's not the sole contributor, but combined with Samsung's rise, it hurt HTC's growth (they still made money, just not at the massive rate they'd been doing previously).

I can see the person's name on Twitter and compare it to the name/address on the polling software. If someone doesn't have a real name listed, I send that person a DM requesting confirmation and then email them.

Verizon's 4g network supports practically only Android phones. 90% of its customers are Android users. It's not a problem with the OS directly but it is Android related.
