Like I said, I'm just as frustrated as any of you, but to start saying things like "break up the core" and "this team is going nowhere" on April 19th is just insane. I'm worried about the SP, yes, but not the offense. They will come around, mark my words. And when they do, I'm not even going to say "I told you so." But whatever. I'm done. You guys are seriously losing it, LOL.

Yeah, because you're always right and you can see into the future. Haha, just hilarious. Look guys, this is very frustrating, I know...but it's 12 f-ing games. When was the last time the season was determined in April? When was the last time a team didn't CHANGE throughout the course of a season? Answer me that, Mr. Know-it-all... BTW, those WEREN"T excuses...its called not jumping ship after two weeks.

I'm really going to laugh when they hit their stride and everyone else is back on the bandwagon. I swear, if any team has fair-weather fans, it's this one. IT'S 12 GAMES...lol

Exactly. If anyone bunts, it's Tatis. Santos was crushing the ball, and you don't wanna bunt when the tying run is already in scoring position with one out. It's not like there was a big hitter behind him...

And a million times you've been wrong. It's obviously the supporting cast, i.e. the bottom of the lineup. I didn't like the fact that Manuel sat BOTH Church and Castillo, who are our best hitters so far...I think Castillo has to hit 2nd with Murphy 7th, which extends the lineup and shouldn't strand so many runners. Things will click, but until they do it's going to be frustrating. Again, it's only 12 games in. If they're still doing this crap mid-May or June, we've got issues.

Bunt? Why would you bunt and take the bat out of his hands? He hit the ball well today, and just got unlucky it was hit right at somebody. If you're gonna cry about Sanos' DP ball, you know NOTHING about baseball... However, the other guys have no excuse. i.e. Delgado, Tatis, Wright, etc...

I thought the joke made by Burkhardt about the whole line of sight thing was hilarious. I used to sit down the right field line at Shea and I always left with a sore neck. There were always tons of people in the way too, so I rarely saw the pitch the whole time from the pitcher to the catcher, lol... I'm sure Citi is a little better than that

I don't think we have the players to trade for a Halladay-type pitcher. Don't get me wrong, it would be nice to have the guy, but I think Omar is too stuck on not trading F-Mart (who everybody wants). SP is looking good for the future, actually. Of course, I'm talking 2-3 years down the road, but imagine this rotation (if they continue their current track): -Santana -Pelfrey -Holt -Mejia -Niese That's nasty. Of course, prospects don't always work out. Keep your fingers crossed!

The Piazza trade was pretty much a steal too...Preston Wilson, Ed Yarnall, and Geoff Goetz for the best hitting catcher of All-Time.

"In many ways the Mets didn't deserve to win yesterday" Seems like you were mainly referring to yesterday's game to me. Of course a few runs here and there would be great, but I am a firm believer that close games build character. I would rather us battle a bunch of games and win around 90-95 games this season than to blow everyone out (which we would if we hit really well with RISP) and win over 100 games. Call me crazy, but it's the battle-tested teams still around in October that win championships...

How about the fact that Gallardo pitched a heck of a game? He is a great young pitcher and will be a household name in years to come, so why can't people just tip their hats to the guy? Besides, the METS WON still...why are New York fans so darn picky?

They will fizzle, just like last season. They were in first place until May 31 last year, remember? They didn't start 10-1, but were 10 games over .500 a good portion of the way I believe. Their offense is red hot. They will cool, and when they do, their pitching will be pressured. Besides, their pitching hasn't been too hot the last couple of games in WAS. They've just gotten a lot of run support. After a series in PIT they've got 3 vs. PHI, 3 @ NYM, and 4 @ CHC. I think that will be a big test for them.

When I read this I can't help but think of that scene in The Waterboy where Bobby is visualizing the attack on Casey, then goes "NO!"...Casey looks at him like "No what?"...and Bobby lays him out. "Johan, visualize the attack." I know, I'm retarded, but that was a funny movie lol...

The Marlins have the best staff in the NL East, for now...let's see how they are doing come July and August when arms start to break down. Plus, their BP is horrendous...they aren't going to stay this hot at the plate all season, and things will even themselves out if the Mets keep fighting. We just need our SP to get it together, but if things aren't rolling within the next couple of weeks, I'm going to be very concerned.

Here's how you can tell the BP is the best in the league this season: they have the lowest ERA. While they don't get the lead too much, they have kept us in every game this season, sometimes holding teams scoreless for 4 innings to do so. That's pretty darn good. If you ask me, pitching when you are down 3 or 4 is harder than when you are up 2 or 3...at least it was for me. Are they going to do this all year? That would be a lot to ask of them, but I think it's a good indication that they will be somewhat reliable.

The more you post, the more I realize how incredibly stupid you are. If you hate everyone who posts on here so much, why do you even visit the site? Just curious, that's all... As for the "Mets" decor, I wish there was more, but I think Mike kinda has a point about the whole "history lesson" thing. You go to the park to watch the game, end of story. And how can you not know who the home team is? You don't see the Apple? You don't recognize the giant "Citi Field" logo on the video board? You don't recognize the incredible tall fences in the outfield, or the giant Pepsi sign in right? What about the JR rotunda? Or the bridge in right center? There's also the restaurant in left field...that's not recognizable? Face it- the only reason people knew Shea was because it was an absolute dump, La Guardia is nearby, and you had a great view of the chop shops past left and center field.
