Totally agree. The daily publication of Covid deaths has long outlived its usefulness. It is no wonder a large part of the population is scared about the risk of Covid death when they are brainwashed with these figures every day on the news without being told their context i.e. how many non-Covid deaths have occurred.

Just imagine if in the war the number of "war" deaths had been published on a daily basis - the population would have totally demoralised. Churchill would have not have allowed it - Johnson should now stop it.

Where are all you Johnson supporters from last year? Tragically the country has to endure what many of us have known for sometime - that is quite unsuitable to be PM. The sooner Graham Brady visits No. 10 to tell him his time is up the better for the Party and the country.

Quite agree. Johnson has proved himself to be totally unfit to be PM . For the sake of the country and the Party he should resign now. Where are all you Johnson supporters from last year?

Agree. Where are all the Johnson fans now that all can see he is a busted flush as PM?

I could not agree more. It was clear to many of us last year that Johnson was not suited to be PM - rather like Gordon Brown he schemed for years to get the job and has reached the level of his incompetence except that he is worse than Brown. The latter was not lazy unlike Johnson who at the very least should have said something about the exams fiasco even while on holiday. Perhaps the best course would be for him to follow Anthony Eden's example and resign on grounds of ill health.

Conservatives are entitled to be critical when they see such incompetence from their own Govt in the hope they will "up their game". Don't bank on a 80 seat majority when Johnson and Cummings show such contempt for them.

Hear hear!

If this had been a Labour Govt presiding over all this incompetence (note I only referred to the last month or two - not the first 2/3 months of the crisis) the Conservatives would have been far more vocal in their opposition than Labour has been.

For the last month or two there is a stench of incompetence about this government - fish "rot from the top" - and this is but the latest example. The Party will pay a very high price in future years as this generation of students will not forget how they were treated. And don't imagine this will not influence their parents and grandparents.

Johnson needs to cut short his holiday and lead from the front - sacking Williamson might show he has the guts to be a firm PM.

I could not agree more about the rating of some lower ranking ministers. What I do is rate the top 6 or 7 and ignore the rest as I don't know.
