Brilliant contrast. That was good for a smile.

Thanks for posting this link, Tula. Hearing Gillar's perspective was very informative.

I was pleased with the press conference. I can understand why we could feel disappointed in the new revelations, but I confess I didn't expect much new information, today. Maybe that is partly why I was not disappointed. But I thought the presentation was very conclusive. And Zullo's story of his "alarming" conversation with Hawaiian officials was particularly damning- when they said to him: "Even if someone presents a forged driver's license of you online, that does not change the fact that you still have a legitimate driver's license.". Arpaio concluded by saying that he has more sensitive information. But it will take congress, the DOJ, or Trump to move on it.

Let's consider the people with the potential ability to make anything happen at this point.... these people are silent. Could the upcoming election change this? I hope so, but I am not naïve enough to assume that is this the case, regardless of the outcome of the election.

Comey's statement was carefully worded. "No reasonable prosecutor would prosecute this case" is not saying that the case should not be prosecuted. Institutional climate of the DOJ, political climate, Lynch's wishes all create the climate where no reasonable prosecutor would take the case.

Jeff, thanks. That was a very succinct and thorough synopsis and analysis and critique. The paragraph of "1) The Good" is interesting in that while the judge may be b-slapping Cruz's lawyers, he is also just asserting the power of his own office. But I suppose even that is a victory, as many judges have preferred to claim a lack of jurisdiction.

In this column, Monckton is not saying that the CCP obtained confessions, just that publicizing their evidence led to others with more evidence coming forward. I have a vague memory of him writing a similar column that spoke more directly of confessions. But I'll have to look more.

Just to be clear, I am not claiming anything, I am only referencing an article that Monckton wrote. I don't have any special knowledge of the CCP and/or its investigations.

I am not sure if this is the exact column I was remembering, but I did find this in the WND archives. It is from Monckton's column on 12/31/2013:

Step 3: Get briefed. For two reasons, the GOP caucus should get its wobbly bottom down to Phoenix and get itself up to speed on the investigation.

First, the chief investigator, Mike Zullo, is no longer making public the results of his inquiries. The initial findings were publicized to attract people with evidence to come forward. That tactic worked. It is now clear to the investigators that criminal charges will be brought. So they cannot compromise the coming prosecution by saying what they know.

Secondly, the sheriff has now called in professional, full-time detectives to supplement the unpaid volunteers who have, until now, doggedly worked unrewarded and unthanked. Joe Arpaio would never have taken that step unless he were very sure of his ground.
