Big Journalism : O'Keefe Owes His Supporters an Explanation

Something does not smell right on this one... Since when does a CNN person agree to meet someone on a BOAT? You may just be the smartest person alive. Absolutely. On a BOAT? That don't make no sense, sir! It just Don't.

Absolutely, there is a certain touch of comic genius to this one. Think of what would have happened if that CNN reporter had taken off her blouse and stuck one of James O'Keefe's sex toys in her vajayjay! It could have been on Oprah tomorrow! Whee!

Well, he is guilty of poorly choosing to use sex toys in a nautical setting. When you're on the water, never use the oversized, unlubricated sex toys. I cannot stress that enough. Is that a crime? Well, it's a crime against common sense. That's good enough for me.

Well, when you say "WITHOUT facts or proof" There's a video. Have you seen it? It's on CNN. It's a video of the event. Now, I'm not going to cast aspersions, but the only reason why you even know who James O'Keefe is is because he posted a video of something he did. Someone has now posted ANOTHER video of something he did. And even Andrew Breitbart cannot stomach what he is now known to have done. Hoisted on your own ignorant petard much?

Absolutely. They make a Tera Patrick love doll that comes with a wonderful little frilly silk nightie--oh, it's to die for. He should have gone to the high-end sex toy store in Washington D.C. near Chinatown that caters to the quality merchandise.

Something about this smacks of disloyalty. The young man knew he was being watched, knew that there was an intense media firestorm that would surround any of his actions--and then he goes out and tries to involve sex toys in his interactions with a CNN reporter? Now, I'm not going to bag on sex toys. It's not as if a grown man, one of those Kayden Kross vibrating love gloves, and a lot of lubricant aren't welcome in the homes of the elite or the experienced. But, come on. What was the boy thinking? Was he trying to make someone jealous? If so, who?

No, he said so! Right on his blog! I guess that means that he likes men, of all things! And that's not American at all, is it? Nah-uh. [sarcasm just flies over the heads of some, does it not?]

I would have to say that, yes, Mr. Hilton (Levandaria? Is that his real name?) should be immediately arrested and charged with a crime. What will then happen is this--the flunkies who actually write his blog will continue and a gullible public will be none the wiser.

KeithHennessey.com : Dynamic Dr. Krugman

You know, all of that is well and good, but what people forget is that legislators around the country live in the here and now--as in, how do we make a budget work? There's no time to wait for a stimulus--here's what has to be sent up as a budget. Here's what we have to spend, thanks to unfunded mandates. Here's what we have to spend because we HAVE to spend it--and here is the pile of "nice to haves" that we're going to have to cut because none of this works. People who actually have to craft a budget can't wait for a theory to go into action. They have to make a budget work when the law says it has to be sent to the governor, etc. It's nice to have that pie in the sky--now how does the state of so-and-so pay for things when revenues are down and costs are up? Breaking the SEIU and the NEA unions isn't going to fly.

TechCrunch : Yahoo Wants HuffPo Badly

"Yahoo needs high quality articles and videos, and the Huffington Post needs more traffic and pageviews." Wait a minute--I call bullstuff on that. Yahoo has access to the exact same "aggregated" content that the Huffington Post has. The "bloggers" who write for it are celebrities who have other people write for them--everyone knows that. The content found on Huffington Post is merely yanked from other sources and repackaged into one site. All Yahoo! has to do is hire someone to build a better, smarter, and easier-to-use aggregator and dress it up. Considering that the Huffington Post is a poorly designed, over-tweaked piece of social media nonsense, that shouldn't be too difficult. Buying it would simply mean that an existing brand, which sucks, would fall under your own brand, which also sucks. The suckage would multiply, until Yahoo! simply became the yuk face emoticon brought to us by AOL.

SEO Hosting Blog : 10 Situations for Writing a New Press Release

My employees have never had an interesting story. I wish I could think of one, other than the one time the sink in the bathroom ended up being doused in lighter fluid and used to cook a peahen, but we sort of suspected the janitorial crew on that one. As to "current events," well, you have to get your spin out there. If I was writing a press release from that point of view for a company like BP, I probably wouldn't mention anything negative--I would just say that America knows who we are! and Wait till you see what we can do when we start trying!

NewsReal Blog : A New Video From Horowitz's UC San Diego Speech... This One's Funnier

even you are getting history a bit wrong. Both side in the war had it bad. The British hung people not loyal to the crown and some revolutionaries stole and drove off loyalist. Very little if any (please post and source examples) executions happened to loyalist during the war by the organized Continental army. So get you history straight as well. Someone who knows that the loyalists were driven from America probably already knows that as well, Poindexter. Is that how it is? Assuming the ignorance of others sparks commentary?
