This is an excellent case that demonstrates the value of Amver. One point, however, is that our lucky survivor did NOT have an EPIRB. Fortunately she did have an Argos tracking beacon on her vessel so the SAR controllers could at least log onto her website and get a LAT/LONG of her vessel for the Amver ship.
She should have had an EPIRB properly registered and on her boat. She is lucky to be alive.
