You should definitely read Hex Hall! I wasn't blown away with it by any means, BUT, I absolutely lovedddd Demonglass, so I think you should give the series a try! :)

I'm usually the same way, and then I sit down to write the review thinking "Oh man I loved this book!" and then I start analyzing aspects of it and think, "did I really love this book?" lmao!

Hahaha exactly!! It really is a great concept and I think it's beautifully written, but there were definitely those issues! I can find issues in every book though if I did deep enough, it seems. LOL

Yeah I think it's just because she was such a horrible person. Like I said I don't remember much, lol, but I can hear the bitterness in my words of my review of it so I must have really been annoyed with her. It takes a lot for me to feel that strongly about a character. Plus it took her quite a while to actually start learning from all of it. Most of the time you just want to slap her.

I loved this book and I find myself constantly recommending it, but your review gave me the urge to go back and read the review I wrote right after reading it. According to my review, I wasn't a fan of Sam either. :p I remember the overall story and how much I enjoyed it, but for some reason I don't really remember the bitchy girl. But in my review, I complain about her so apparently I felt the same way, haha.
