I was thinking the end would come more along the lines T. S. Eliot imagined in The Hollow Men, "This is the way the world ends Not with a bang but a whimper." That sounds just like Chuckie. He'll be too busy talking to his plants to even notice.

I think the only Nic Cage movie I ever liked was Peggy Sue Got Married. I enjoyed the rest of the movie so much, I tended to overlook the fact that he was so badly miscast.

I discovered Gawker through Wonkette way back when Ana Marie Cox was running it. Both blogs were totally awesome then. I still miss those days.
