An old friend asked me today if I realized that most Americans are oblivious to the unpleasant truth that our beloved Constitution is hanging by a thread. "To the point of tears," I answered, "but I have no teardrops left..." In many ways, the American Revolution has never ended. It is a dream in progress- a panoramic view of what can be for both Americans and the world beyond. When the British burned Washington on 24 August 1814, we rose from ashes. From that conflagration onward, battle after battle, the greatest revolution in the history of mankind has continued to this day. Only the faces change. We are now the soldiers at the front, and our foes bear many names and ideologies. How simple things were when our ragtag rebels had only to fight the Redcoats. Today's enemies are arrayed against us as never before. It is not a time for tears or lament- not until the last patriot standing is run through with the sword- and I pray to Almighty God that day will never come. RAJ
