I think part of the problem that I see is that some women equate all looking/noticing/whatever with LUST. And this is what frustrates me - when my husband or male friends are unable to simply appreciate attractiveness without being accused of leering. And yes - replacing one shame for another doesn't actually replace that first shame, it just brings everyone down. Love, love, love the post.

Okay, one more thing. What do bites/scratches have to do with anything? I'm guessing in all of the blood-splattering gore, some of that nasty got all up in someone's eyes or moths or whatever. Okay, my primary Lori gripe of this episode is: since when did women have to carry their pregnant bellies around with them??? Honey, it's attached. You don't have to hold it. Though I was happy to hear her voice my main hopes for her, i.e. zombie baby eats her from the inside. I know it won't happen, but please. Let it happen. I hope they give us a lot more Michonne in the coming episodes.

That is simply not true. There are a number of groups that oppose marriage equality and very few are designated hate groups. AFA & FRC are completely over the top in their lies & rhetoric regarding the LGBT community.

FRC has been designated by the SPLC as a hate group, as per Tony Perkins's continued insistence that gay people are pedophiles. I believe that American Family Association has also been added to that list due to Bryan Fischers's requests to criminalize homosexuality (I do not believe, however, that CFA has donated money to the AFA, so please don't think that I'm making that accusation). I definitely agree with you that getting all worked up over personal disagreements is silly. By all means, spend your money where you want, but the outrage is a little much. So yes, much of the outrage happening now IS silly, IMO. However, donating money to a hate group is a serious charge, and one that I believe deserves an honest examination. (And is the reason that I have chosen not to patronize CFA for a little over a year since I found out.)
