So if I understand this right, the taxpayers are going to get soaked for 700 billion with the financial industry screwups and now IAM wants several hundred million for unemployment benefits. Does personal and corporate accountability have any meaning what so ever now a days? No one has a basic right to own a home such that I have to be "neighborly" and subsidize their bad decision, nor should I have to subsidize the IAM lifestyle. The IAM made a decision to strike. Some 20+ years ago, I worked for Seafirst Bank and still vividly remember the day the CFO got us in a room and explained we would likely be shut down the next day unless we were bought out, in this case by Bank of America.
