/Film : Joss Whedon's Theory On Why DC Comic Book Movies Usually Suck

Actually, one of the reasons DC films tend not to be so good is because it is not DC who controls what happens with their IPs, but Warner Bros. Since Warner owns DC they do with their character whatever they please and whatever they think is going to make them a fortune, most of the time ignoring the character actual canon. I think an exception to this is Chris Nolan, because Warner has given such freedom to him and his team and Nolan in return has respected the Batman canon to a certain extend, which results in the quality films that we've been getting from Nolan.

Wow, I'm amuse how unreal most people are in the Oscars. I couldn't tell if they were acting or if they were being themselves. That was amazing, one of the best movies I've seen. Hold it, it was not a movie.. Oops!

/Film : Rumor Killer: The Wachowski Brothers NOT Offered Superman Reboot

It is Jordan, not Jordon. And for the most part, I think you're blaming the wrong company. DC does not make their own movies. Warner Brothers owns DC, therefore they are the ones that handle the movie side of DC characters. And on another note, I do not think that any other character in the DC Universe can outsell, neither Superman or Batman. This is of course assuming that people that goes to movie follow the same comic book trends. The best selling books of DC are for the most part Action Comics and Batman, with their respective counter parts, Superman and Detective Comics. Which are Superman and Batman books. To be fair though, if I'm not mistaken, Green Lantern is the hot item of the moment. And the main event of this year for DC is GL related. The Blackest Night. But I have to make a clarification regarding that. This has nothing to do with the character, it is the writer who should be recognized for such a magnificent work. Geoff Johns is by far one of, if not the best writer that DC has right now. Everything he touches becomes gold. He can take the least selling or the least appealing DC character and make it so good that it can become the best seller and the most appealing, at least for as long as he's writing it. So if it wasn't for Geoff Johns, Hal Jordan would probably be dead and the idea of a movie would probably not exist. Which means, that Superman and Batman, would still be the best selling books.

/Film : The Wachowski Brothers to Direct Superman Reboot?

I do not want to know how a Wachowski brothers's Superman movie would look like. Especially considering what they did with speed racer. I seriously stopped liking their work after Matrix (1999), it became too action base and not about the story. On the other hand. I've like McTeigue's work so far, I would love to see what a person like him could do with the Plastic Man franchise.

/Film : Christian Bale Apologizes For Tirade

People like us know that this is a "Terminator movie starring Batman". But the publicity is not intended for us, after all, look at where we are posting. We are interested in movie news. The people I think the publicity is intended to are those social-lifeless people that really enjoy reading gossips about celebrity and that's the only thing they do. They do not care about the movies. A lot of those people found out about this movie through this gossip thing. I bet those people are going to see it, just because of that. The same reason a lot of those people went to see TDK just because Heath Ledger was dead.
