The guy who really killed us yesterday was Delgado. Baseloaded, 1 out and a sac fly ties it. But how do you kill a guy who was 3rd in the NL in RBI at the time? Make it so #1. Humber would slot in nicely at AAA and could find his mojo

MetsBlog.com : Recap: Video Clips, Quotes, Analysis from Last Night

Agreed, that was my knee jerk reaction. Tatis served us well last year, and most likely will again when the injury bugs hit. My point is that he's on the back end of an "interesting" (early fame to almost out of baseball) career and fans want him to replace a kid who most of the better talkingheads have said is a hitter with a veterans presence at the plate and is improving everyday. He's hitting .289 in light on his sluggish start. He's not exactly hitting his weight. More like CC Sabathias

Who's above average in the OF. Beltran is great. the rest of the cast is a dime a dozen, accept for murphy, who most likely will be a t 1B next year.

I might promote Castillo to leadoff, drop Reyes to 3rd, Wright to fifth, and Beltran church 6-7. I think I'd much rather have Reyes, a line drive hitter, keeping the inning moving before the big bats come up. BTW, Delgado should have a one year contract every year

And we could have signed Derek Lowe.... There are times it pays to be cheap. This wasn't one of them. I wonder if we could throw Maine & Fmart at Toronto for Halladay?

He's hitting .289 in 9 games. Definitely not struggling at the plate. Do you have a man crush on Tatis, a guy Omar reclaimed off the trash heap and no upside what so ever? That's the problem with black and white Mets fans (those of you who wish we were like the yankees), you can never let a kid develop. The problem isn't hitting as much as it has been our 2, 3, & 4 starters, who seem to think the game is only 5 innings. They've been rotten. Thank God Omar signed Livan.

MetsBlog.com : News: Pelfrey Has Tendonitis

Sign Pedro and bring up Neise. Not a knee jerk reaction, but I'd rather shut Pelfrey down now and deal with the injury than send him out there at a disadvantage. Pedro pitched very well in the WBC. Why not have him ready for May 15th? I'm pretty sure about Santana, Livan & Ollie being able to make their 34 starts, but Maine & Pelfrey require some insurance.

I would have rather seen him hit away. If he can't handle an RBI opportunity, he should have been pinch hit for. Cowards way out: bunting your way on and leaving it up to someone else to drive the run in.
