Eric Cantor is a treasonous person. He has indicated that where US foreign policy does not line up with that of the state of Israel, he will promote the Israeli policy and not that of the United States government, as set out by the President of the United States. He will actively seek to change US policy to align with that of a foreign state. Let's not forget the USS Liberty, the Lavon Affair, the Rosenbergs stealing US nuclear secrets for Soviets, Jonathan Pollard and his spying on behalf of state of Israel, and 9/11. Most of the people in this blog are very ignorant and misguided. What are you being distract from? 1) Good education is what will make the US more competitive. 2) Government and corporate America must be partners in stimulating the economy. In other words, Wall Street should not be encouraging companies not to hire. 3) Since May, 2010, there has been a plus of 174,000 new jobs in private enterprise. Have you seen those numbers? 5) Education must be more affordable (see #1). This is why Obama removed banks as the middlemen between government and students, giving students more money and at a lower rate. 6) In January, my youngest daughter in college will have one year longer to be on my health care, as a result of health care reform. Did you hear about this on Fox News? 7) The legislative loophole to allow companies to get a tax break for taking jobs overseas has been closed, i.e., they could writeoff the taxes they paid to a foreign government. These are just a few things you all could be talking about and working towards. Instead, you waste your time with most of the nonsense I'm reading in this blog. I don't think anyone cares about your essays in college but we do care about you putting your shoulders to the plow and rebuilding the areas of the US where things have fallen down. It is true that the economy had just started slowing down as Bill Clinton was leaving office. However, the point is that there was no job growth for FOUR YEARS under Bush and a Republican Congress. Compare that to 2 years with Obama and the militant attitudes of many don't know right right-wingers. Did you see such an uproar in Bush's first 4 years? The tax cuts was not the only thing that happened. Most importantly, more of the regulations that once prohibited Wall Street from doing shady business was removed and/or not enforced under the Republicans. This brought about huge profits in finance and construction industry. However, much of that profits was not real and held no real value, as properties were grossly over valued and sold to foreign investors. How is it that Banking & Finance even rose to become the most profitable industry at one time? More than oil & gas, and more than pharmaceuticals. What was their product? Were they making anything or shaking down consumers? There isn't one person in the US who pay NO TAXES, so end that lie right here. If they aren't paying income taxes, they are paying other taxes. The reality is that US individual and corporate taxes are at about their lowest rate in history. The rich and wealthy were the ones who did extremely well from 2001 to 2008. It is good that you don't hate the rich, and I'm sure most others who want the wealthy to pay a little more in taxes don't hate them either. T. West CART/AfriSynergy
