Film School Rejects : Wall-E Gets Karate Chopped By Kung Fu Panda at the Annies

I'm just happy someone got off the 'Wall-E' bandwagon. I did not like that movie...the second half, at least. But half a good movie, best picture does not make.

Film School Rejects : Sunday Reader Roundtable: Robocop (1987) on Hulu

Stupid Hulu. It doesn't allow us Canadians to watch it. Good thing I have it on Blu-ray, in that "Unedited for TV" version as well.

Film School Rejects : Apparently There's an Oscar Boycott

I saw 'The Reader'. I liked 'The Reader'. I think it deserves the spot more than 'Frost/Nixon' did. I think people should really watch the flicks before saying they're garbage. That's the problem with 'Best Picture' nominations. It tries to put apples and oranges in the same box. 'The Reader' is a much better melodrama than 'The Dark Knight'. 'The Dark Knight' is a better thriller/action flick than 'The Reader', but that doesn't win you an Oscar nom.

Not to make too direct of a comparison, but people said the same thing about Heath Ledger playing the Joker.
