I feel that the "Creative has nothing for you" mindset exemplifies what's wrong with the business these days. Wrestling writers don't understand wrestling. There's a surefire storyline you can always use for guys you don't know what to do with. Have them wrestle each other simply because they each want to prove they're the better wrestler and deserve to move up the ranks. If you don't want to push Gunner (or whoever), just have him lose to a guy you are pushing. It's not complicated.

Personally, I don't think there should be any storylines outside of the upper card, since that's what you're selling your shows on. The lower card should just be exhibition matches to beef up people's win-loss records until they get a chance to move up.

They wouldn't have survived in the early days when Wrestlemania was the only PPV. Imagine them trying to stretch a feud over a year.

I think there's still some beef between WWE and Maria so they probably wouldn't pick up Bennett.

Consider this. Perro Aguayo died in the ring with Rey Mysterio. It's well known Mysterio's problems with WWE as of recent. Right or wrong, there are some that could see it as a dig at Mysterio. WWE execs probably aren't following the ins and outs of Mexican wrestling, but a wrestler dying in the ring is fairly big news in the wrestling world so chances are that someone who looked at the script was aware of how Perro died. Chances are also high that it was a complete oversight. I don't think it was intentionally insensitive, but I see how it could be perceived that way.

Also, your analogy is horrible. Unless X superstar really died of cancer, saying he did is beyond insensitive.

Vince has always hated the terms strap and belt and has had a long-standing policy of only referring to it as a title.
