OH, and speaking of hair dye, when I was a sophomore in high school I thought I'd start the year off with a bang and bought a box of at home dye and when it was done I had MAROON hair. When the light hit it I looked like a cartoon character. I thought I was the shit.

See tomatoes LOVE heat, and Alaska, we don't exactly live in the land of the hotness. Midnight sun yes, heat, not so much. Even in Olympia I had issues with the weather not being hot enough for long enough. Mildew, drama, tomato drama. Apparently here the only ways to grow tomatoes are indoors (sadly I don't have enough direct light) or greenhouse (which I want more than anything).

The drama of the Alaskan tomato continues.

This makes me very sad. I actually asked my mother to bring me tomatoes in her carry on luggage when she visits me in August. I have to find a way to grow tomatoes next summer or I might hurt someone.

In other news, turns out spinach grows like gangbusters up north. Can we trade produce?
