i agree with you on this. He was very wrong. when it comes to medical treatment the patient needs to come first. this reminds me of some people here in the states that refuse to sell condoms or fill birth control prescriptions based on religious belief.. if u feel like that maybe medicine is not the field for you

this is not what they wear to fight fires.. this is there casual uniform. firemen dont walk around all day in there heavy firefighting outfits. they wear a similar blue and gray uniform.. when the geta call they change...

it is popular to say that islam is peace but i say that islam is practical. the other incidends whcih u describe i canot recall reading about, as i said before im not a schlor or a biographer.. with all sincerity i would suggest "the life of muhammed" by Muhammad Husayn Haykal its an older book but i found it very interesting. it really tries to incorporate all of the different view points and arguments surounding muhammed and his life... hadiths are a good way to gain an understanding of islam but even with Bukhari and Muslim u must remember that the hadith were not protected and are not perfect.. the Quran is the only book in whic there is no crookedness. I do not believe that there is a single person on earth that can read the Quran wtih sincerity and unbiased and not see the truth... i mean that.. idk what all u have read and what is in ur heart but if u openly and without any prejudice read that book from cover to cover you will begin to see it too..

when i was in grade school one of my favorite teachers taought me the trick to answeing the true and false questions on her teset she told me that if an option sounded half true and half false then the answer was false.. i am very familiar with Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, and tho i have heard of him i am not so familar with Ibn Ishaq... some of the examples that u listed i believe i have read of before but not as you put them. if i am not mistaken the armed robbery that u speak of was happened after Muhammed (pbuh) had established him self in Medina and had begun to lay siege on Mecca. the Meccan trade routs were the life blood of the city so he (Muhammed) did in fact attack them. Cutting of supply lines is laying siege 101 for any military operation.. Taking booty and ransoming off capture soilders back to the enemy is what is perscribed in the quran, as opposed to cutting off heads on the internet. If memory serves "the assasinations" of the jews was a pre-emptive move on Muhammeds (pbuh) part as they were preparing to to move against him. we can all aprciated pre-emption im sure.

im sorry but i do not see muhammad (pbuh) as any of those things.. nor do i see those that follow his example as any of those things.. Let me be frank, the intentional murder of innocents is forbidden in islam. Robbery, rape, etc is also forbidden in Islam. People that commit these acts in the name of God or any religon or country are wrong... I am not an islamic scholar and do not claim to be. However i do know that in the Quran and in the sunnah there are clear rules of what is permissiable and what is not. if anyone breaking these rules or bending these rules to fit there aims have wronged the own souls.. that being said u asked me what i see... i can see how someone cold have Huntingtonist view of the world given all that is going on in it, but i do not see this clash or conflict as inevitable.. in the movie the godfather (dont know if u have seen it but tis a great flick) there is a scene where the leading protagonist turns down a partnership deal with a rival. as they part ways he wishes his rival luck in his new business "so long as your interest dont conflict with mine" i see the world as groups of competing interest. in order to have a peaceful world where, as robnoak, said above one dosent have to worry about the saftey of ones family etc. we have to have a world were people or willing to look at the other point of view as well and not only his own interest

i usually do not comment on blogs in general and espcially not ones like these where the overall view point is very ridgid. Maybe its because its late and i canoot sleep or maybe its sumthing else but i feel compeled to say that after reading most of these post (not all my eyes hurt looking at the screen so late at night when i should be sleeping) that i am highly amused as how afraid u all are of us. ( i know sumone will agrue with me about using the word "afaraid" but im tired and its the best word i could come up with right now) I was born muslim and been raised here in America my entire life. i interact all day with all different types of people. Occasionally people who know about my faith ask me questions. Sum want to argue, Others ask for general informations sake. ive never, at least not directly known anyone with such views as the ppl who leave post on this site.it just amazes me.... wow more than i meant to type sorry if im rambiling.. i m going to pray now and then go to bed. in my prayer i will ask for peace for all people regardless of religion or nationallity..... wheter u hate islam or not may peace be upon you all...
