Somebody please help, I'm from MA, do I need to explain more. I emailed my Senators and Representative about my opposition to the health care bill. I did get a response from only one of them. Sen. Kennedy! I figured I would share the email. When reading remember sent them an email arguing against them passing the bill. Thanks Ed. Dear Mr. xxxxxxx Thank you for your letter on health care reform, which has always been one of my top priorities in the Senate. In recent weeks, I've been working with my colleagues in Congress and President Obama's team to develop legislation that will have bipartisan support and will guarantee quality, affordable health care for all Americans and their families. I'm hopeful that such legislation will have broad support in the new Congress and the new administration. I've long been a supporter of such reform. It's been more than 40 years since Congress enacted Medicare and Medicaid to guarantee good health care for the elderly and the poor, and all other Americans deserve the same guarantee. Although the details of our legislation have not yet been determined, we are making significant progress and I look forward very much to working on this important legislation in the new Congress. Sincerely, Edward M. Kennedy

I just had a thought! I know we keep on hearing about the stimulus and how many jobs we are saving or creating. Let me try to say it in their words because it sounds better "generate or retain at least 3 million jobs." Can or did somebody ask them if we can have two sets of numbers on that, maybe even a pie chart. I will even give them half, right off the bat, I also won't even ask for them to prove the jobs that are being "retained". I just want them to prove to me, at the minimum, that they generated 1.5 million new jobs, with a little stipulation, we can't lose 3 million jobs in the time it takes to generate 1.5 and it doesn't count if they are all government jobs, like, I don't know, maybe a civilian army or something crazy like that.

I don't know about the rest of you but I am bit tired and need a vacation. I am realizing it is harder to stay awake for so many hours in a row. Thank you President Obama and the rest of the congress for going on recess, ding, ding, ding, class dismiss. You know what, seriously, stay out for gym class too. Right now we would be better off if, we the people, just suspended all of you until you can all play by the rules (constitution), Just to state a couple - NO cheating, name calling, and lying. Plus, you MUST do all the required reading assignment for there will be a test. lf you need help we will provide you with 2 lawyers, oops I mean 2 tutors. This is just the start before we can sit down and have a beer. It's sad that it is true, but if you were a principle would you deal with our representatives as your students.

Just one thing on this health care plan. Lets turn the focus on the congress and push for them and there families to have to opt into this plan. I would love to see them answer why they wont join. I believe I heard Glenn talk about a Senator that is trying to push for this to be put in the bill. Don't know how to go about it and I need some help but maybe petitions or what ever. Even the supporters of the heath care plan can't give an argument about why congress shouldn't have to opt in if it's such a great idea. Hold them accountable, they should lead by example and there kids should be waiting in the same lines as mine.

I agree, I would like to add one thing about the God topic. We all should be here for the same reasons and it doesn't madder your religion or if you don't believe in God as long as you want the best for our country and its future. Also if you live by values and principles. I look at the God topic a different way, if your an atheist and live by morals and believe in doing good for others and try to be a better person everyday, then the only real difference is who created us and how we came to be. Atheists believe in science and I believe in God. You have the "atom" & I have "Adam", So in some way science is your God because someone had to create the atom. The real question is when the founding fathers had the task in setting the foundation for the future of our country, they had to take everything into consideration and God was a huge factor and all and all the beliefs of religion has a good set of rules to live by. Nothings wrong with treat your neighbor as you would want to be treated. Atheist or not we all can live by that. The founding fathers knew that and that is what we are missing today. Our elected officials, Democrat and Republican, had those beliefs, I believe, at one point but something happens to them when they get to Washington that changes them. This is what we want back, we want people that represent us, and do on to us as they would want to be done to them. We are suppose to be one in the same. This is an idea that we all can get behind Atheists or Religious. Lets make our voice count and we all have concerns lets not nit pick on the things we don't agree on but things we do. Living a moral life and want moral people representing us is what we all want. Erik

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : The 9/12

Hi Florida, How are things going? This question keeps coming up and Glenn explains it pretty well, but my thought is, you really don't want to be apart of this project and thats fine. Just don't use the accuse that your an Atheist and your automatically denied from anything that has the word God in it. This is not the case, God excepts you, I except you, even though you haven't found God in your life. People that believe that science has all the answers, to me, are people who believe that "science" is there God. In the sense that science explains alot of things, but my question is one I have always asked, if everything came from one atom in nothingness where did or who created the atom and the nothing the atom was in? The other thing thats kind of a consequence is some believe we came from Adam and you believe we came from an Atom. We both believe we started from a being and 90% believe a God had a hand in our creation. So either way we strive to be a better person everyday and I welcome you to join with people that believe in treating your neighbor as you would like to be treated. We all believe in something and God has a pretty good set of values and beliefs to live by. Don't hate us or be mad at us, join us, talk to us, see if it is such a bad thing to believe in something. Thanks for listing, Erik
