He can't Addison. He doesn't understand even a fraction of what's written in the Bible. Let alone the history of the Early Church. He's never studied it. He's merely been told what to think. But never bothered to study it. He hasn't put the work and years of study you and I have. Ten bucks says he links to an anti-mormon page that somebody wrote (who he thinks is a genius)... He was considered lightened skin compared to the very dark skinned Native Americans of the time. Ancient Jews had a light skinned people as well. Not all belong to the same tribe. Not only did they talk to others.... they wrote it down. Hence the book. The Book of Mormon is but a small record of the people condensed from many records. There are plenty of teachings in Ancient Native American lore that talk openly about the "Bearded White God" who will return one day. One group of Native Americans called him Quetzalcoatl... I recommend researching the history and anthropology of the Ancient Americans. Its quite fascinating! The record was returned to the Lord, much like the Ark of the Covenant. Its not locked in a room somewhere.

Mormons have fought and died for this country in ever single war since the the civil war. My grandfather lost his life for this country, and my father served proudly in Vietnam. Today, my many of my nephews and nieces serve, and I would be proud if my children grow up to the same.... Mormons help build this country sir. They paved the way for the settling of the west, and LDS leaders actually serve in U.S Presidents administrations. I'm not sure what you are saying with that "claiming" one wife thing. My wife and I are equal partners. I never "claimed" her.... Nor do I seek to "claim" any other. The Native Americans who witnessed and followed Christ teachings were all Martyred. Like the attacks on Christians in Europe and the East, they would not deny the Christ. If you've read The Book Mormon : Another testament of Jesus Christ, you'd know that. Its fallible man that we believe is imperfect, not the word of God. Unfortunately man has inserted his own will and desires over the years, and has taken many books and verses out of the text of the Holy Canon. Wicked leaders and corrupt officials are nothing new during its long history. Even today there are many different versions. This of course makes it imperfect as any theologian, or Bible scholar will tell you. But its what we got, and we study it with great amount of thought and prayer.

I have one wife. But rest assured, she's all I want. I think you're confusing the LDS church with the "Church of Christ" fundamentalist sect located in various parts of Utah and Texas. They continue the practice of polygamy. They aren't a part of the LDS church. We believe that Jesus did indeed visit and teach a Native American people after his resurrection. Just today, after I thanked my Heavenly Father for the food in the name of his son and Savior Jesus Christ, I ate pork chops with mashed potatoes and corn. All while sitting around the table with my family. My wife is such a good cook! I love her! We were so hungry because today was "Fast Sunday". The first Sunday of every Month we fast for two meals, and give the money we would have spent on those meals, to fund our local church welfare programs.
