It might be cause by installing several themes + tweaks Or a tweak downloaded from a bad repo... Better do a restore as you suggested, just to make sure, good luck :-)

It's always preferable to get IMEI unlock, it's permament and you can freely upgrade to any future iOS upgrade without worries

Though when using the redsn0w method (for i4 of course) I just have to choose the IPSW, as it is, and it didn't ask me for shsh, I guess it gets them automatically ?

Hello guys ! So today I reset my jailbroken iPhone 4's on 5.0.1 settings (just settings), and forgot the fact that it will have to recheck the validity of the sim inserted (the phone is locked, and I unlocked it with SAM). Anyways, just wanted to ask that iClarified has a tutorial for downgrading from 6.x to 5.x, now of course I want to restore to 5.0.1 and have all shsh and already stitched... Can I use this tutorial ? And it says I will only need to use redsn0w for the restore. Thank you !

Jailbreak : Either enter jailbreakme.com on your device using a web browser Or you can use redsn0w, plug in your device, and follow the instructions on the screen Unlock : You can use a Gevey Sim to unlock it, though it has to be kept inside the phone at all time, and you have to be careful not to update baseband if you ever want to upgrade your software. Or you can try getting an IMEI unlock either from the phone's original carrier, or from a 3rd Party, this option guarantees permanent unlock.
