I'm somewhat curious as to what might happen if one candidates PAC's came out with an ad against Colbert in response. i wonder if he would suddenly not find it funny if ratings were threatened or if it would just back fire making him more popular. one could also add questions to reliability of the daily shows campaign coverage to just mock rather than have an interest in who gets the nod now that Stewart is running the PAC for a "candidate".

i could be wrong, but i felt the issue Newt was originally raising wasn't anti-capitalist, but pointing out Romney's company wasn't creating as many jobs as he claimed if you consider the jobs lost due to firings. Romney was misrepresenting himself as a major job creator rather than just representing himself as a successful capitalist, and Newt called him on it.

Bush declared a mandate. He was quite the liberal,yes? That's why all the liberals loved him? My reference to the popular vote was in reference to the statement of the person I was disagreeing with. you notice I said that the winner was the one with the electoral votes. As far as I remember I said nothing about changing that.
