Big Hollywood : Stephen Colbert and the Mainstream Media Want to Be the Only Millionaires Backed By Corporate Money

I'm somewhat curious as to what might happen if one candidates PAC's came out with an ad against Colbert in response. i wonder if he would suddenly not find it funny if ratings were threatened or if it would just back fire making him more popular. one could also add questions to reliability of the daily shows campaign coverage to just mock rather than have an interest in who gets the nod now that Stewart is running the PAC for a "candidate".

Big Government : John Sununu: Gingrich Makes 'Serious Mistake' With 'Anti-Free Market' Message

i could be wrong, but i felt the issue Newt was originally raising wasn't anti-capitalist, but pointing out Romney's company wasn't creating as many jobs as he claimed if you consider the jobs lost due to firings. Romney was misrepresenting himself as a major job creator rather than just representing himself as a successful capitalist, and Newt called him on it.

Big Government : 2012: Playing to Win - How the GOP is Winning the Race for Obama

"I hadn’t given Mountain Dew much thought, but like many of you I was unsatisfied with the Republican presidential field and was looking for something more, something that could excite me and get the job done. As we have run out of sacrificial frontrunners, I decided to give the Dew another look. I liked what I saw, even if I don’t particularly care for the taste. Two items in the news this past week have convinced me that Mountain Dew, while only a carbonated beverage, has everything we seem to be looking for in a leader these days. You can tell a lot about a person or thing by how he, she or it acts when under attack, and Mountain Dew’s defensive behavior is a profile in courage. Facing a lawsuit by an Illinois man who claimed he found a dead mouse in his pop, Mountain Dew disregarded the possible ramifications to its culinary reputation and simply told the truth: the man could not have found a mouse or any other organic matter in that can because the highly corrosive soda would have dissolved it, turning it into a “‘jelly-like’ substance.” This brave act speaks to character but also to steadfast opposition to frivolous litigation and, more broadly, to our Culture of Complaint. Consider, too, the ice cold finality with which the beverage dispatches foreign intruders. Why erect electrified fences along the border when a moat of Mountain Dew would be just as effective and more refreshing?" Read more: http://ideas.time.com/2012/01/10/mountain-dew-for... "Vote Mountain Dew today or another Tuesday if you live somewhere other than New Hampshire. Because if you don’t, Romney wins."

Officials in Hawaii had said state law prohibits them from releasing the information contained in the full birth certificate filing -- even if the president himself requested a copy. But that didn't stop the president from requesting last week two certified copies of certificate of live birth from Director of Health Loretta J. Fuddy. On Monday, Fuddy complied. "As director of health for the state of Hawaii, I have the legal authority to approve the process by which copies of such records are made. Through that authority, in recognition of your status as president of the United States, I am making an exception to the current departmental policy which is to issue a computer-generated certified copy," she wrote. http://www.foxnews.mobi/sr=1/dd=1/ms=1/jsrv=72/aa... if any of the people who follow this issue here really cares about the law or truth.

So by that logic East Germany (German Democratic Republic) was a democracy. It had democratic right in the name!!! Hitler's thought on Marxism: "The German state is gravely attacked by Marxism." "In the years 1913 and 1914, I… expressed the conviction that the question of the future of the German nation was the question of destroying Marxism." "In the economic sphere Communism is analogous to democracy in the political sphere." "The Marxists will march with democracy until they succeed in indirectly obtaining for their criminal aims the support of even the national intellectual world, destined by them for extinction." "Marxism itself systematically plans to hand the world over to the Jews." "The Jewish doctrine of Marxism rejects the aristocratic principle of Nature and replaces the eternal privilege of power and strength by the mass of numbers and their dead weight."

Bush declared a mandate. He was quite the liberal, yes? That's why all the liberals loved him? My reference to the popular vote was in reference to the statement of the person I was disagreeing with. you notice I said that the winner was the one with the electoral votes. As far as I remember I said nothing about changing that.
