Indeed. Well keep in mind I have never seen any of these guys play, but from the trusty Yanks-Abroad site we have:

I think so but I haven't watched Fulham that closely this season. But that would be the solution, it seems.

Okay, how about Stuart Holden? Speed, can play wide, which stretches the opposition's defense. His skill on the ball might leave a bit to be desired, however. And he too might be better used in midfield.

Dempsey works best behind the forwards. I don't think Bob will put him up front. Landon yes, and that isn't a bad option. But then who do you have as a creative force in attacking midfield?

I think that would be reasonable but then you might have more East coast-West coast travel to deal with? Not that that's a huge deal either. But I think they really like the regional rivalries and getting the Superclasico as a playoff matchup was of course a huge coup.

landing an o-mid has been an outstanding item for like three years now! I agree that we can't afford a Ruud Gullit-type. Besides people don't come to see the coach they come to see the players! Meanwhile, Richie might just be signed by DC. I don't think Austria was ever serious about giving him the job though.
