Why are people opposed to it being near a school? People who are homeless are not always bad people, and with the economy the way it is today, it is regular joe folks with children who are losing their homes. I saw what happened to the Occupy eugene camp and that was a DISASTER! The city should be ashamed of that move. But maybe screening people who come to the camp would be a good idea. These advocates that are working so hard for that could take responsibility of making sure the people are not criminals, not drug users, not drunks. Sometimes people need some help though.
