Interesting article, I can just see the new controls being phased out within a few weeks, as pressure is applied from Country after country and trade groups etc. I'll be amazed if there are any controls in place come August.

I think there is a demographic factor also, older more traditional labour voters passing away whilst these towns have seen an influx of more upwardly mobile types.
