I love Viggo and his performance seems moving, but while I respect Charlize' acting talent it feels that trying to expanding the female character/role further than originally planned just builds a hollow, passive 'what are we going to do' weak female character (that needs protecting...rather than holding onto last threads of humanity)? Phew...breathe. And, yes the editing style and marketing treatment of trailer did not help anyone here.
