Hi all,

I wanted to give an update on something the Facebook "Glenn Beck The 9/12 Project" is doing. I posted about "Read the Constitution Day" a week ago; since then it's been re-posted on a few sites and we now have over 900 group members committed to send a copy of the Constitution to their "elected and selected" (rep, senators, President, Supreme Court), and write "Preserve, Protect, and Defend" on the back of the envelope. Everything will be mailed on 4/20.

We're looking to get as many people to participate as we can, and we think it fits with the 9/12 Project. If you want details, want to join, or want to spread the word, click here: http://tinyurl.com/gb921group.

We (meaning the "Glenn Beck 9/12 Project" Facebook group http://tinyurl.com/gb912group) are announcing to group members tomorrow.

Details will be in the announcement tomorrow but the short version is this:

When: April 20th (we thought May 1st was too far away)
What: Mail a constitution to your representative, your senators, the President, and the Supreme Court
What else: Forward it on.

Note: There are many others on the committee, I just happen to have the title President. Kind of like Barack...oh, never mind.

We need a Constitution Day!

Let's take a page from the Red Envelope Day and take advantage of this forum. Wouldn't it be awesome if those same people who sent out empty red envelopes turned around and did it again - but this time:

* Target members of three branches
* Include a printed out copy of the Constitution instead.

Millions of copies of the Constitution arriving from all over the country is bound to send a message...

Target a date for it - maybe 4/15, or 5/1, or 7/3...

An indication that frankly, you don't get it. The 9-12 Project isn't about polls, it's about principles. I invite you to read through the Mission Statement, the 9 Principles, and the 12 Values. See if, in your heart, you agree with most of them. I'll bet you do.

Instead of reading the tea leaves of the ever changing polls, we should be guided by our principles. We should live by our values. As more of us "live our faith" - in an active,real, visible way, we can start to reclaim territory lost.
