The below saved me from a lot of battery drain issues, if you haven’t done it you can simply give it a try before resetting anything:

You need to go to Settings\Privacy\Location Services(On) – and switch off any unwanted apps from using your location services.

In addition and most important, you need to go again to Settings\Privacy\Location Services(On) - scroll down and select system services and from there switch off (1) Diagnostics & Usage, (2) Location-Based iAds, and (3) Setting Time Zone.

Hope this will help.

Thanks, best battery life i ever had it was by far on 5.0.1, with the same usage and tweaks it could last almost 2 and a half days.

This is the first time so far that i have restored my device from backup and my battery life seems to be similar to what slava described. Having two kids theres no time to play around!
Just one question though, if you set it up as new how do you restore your messages apart from playing around with the db files?

What is your average battery life now? Have you restored from backup or set it up as new?

For those who have restored from backup and facing battery drain issues you might want to check your cellular settings (Internet tethering, APN) because if that is not iaw your carrier’s settings then it constantly looks for a personal hotspot creating additional battery drain.
