I think the bracelets are just a doorway to the demoralization of our youth. To think that a middle school age child should be exposed to such messages about the human body, that it might start another sexual revolution.... Okay the sarcasim stops now.... I have three kids, two girls and one boy. I talk openly to them about anything I can. They are middle schoolers, and as MY seventh grade teacher said, walking hormones. Marriage, it's not just for the holy people. The arguement about church and state, fact is, it is seperate. Marriage predates Christianity. In this country, as in many others, a marriage in church is not the legal binding of marriage. It is a cerimony only. The difference between a civil union and the term marriage when it comes to our laws are different. Just looking at the basic terms of our laws, and educating yourself about the underlining facts should be worth everyones time. So many people judge by belief instead of knowledge. Just having these ads comming to the public should get people talking. I'm not pointing to a yea or nay, just hoping people take a stand based on real research.

I've had enough of trying to fight the illegal citizen rights. I'm all for letting my children say they are illegal to get the rights they should be getting already. When the day comes for them to go to college I'll say I'm from a non English speaking country, won't pay taxes and cash in on all the benefits. When my children enter the work force, where they check ethnic background there will be a spot that says illegal. (Sarcasm dripping)

I found this documentary interestingly entertaining. It's called Grass. Narrated by actor and pot activist Woody Harrelson, this slick and snappy documentary chronicles the history of marijuana use and prohibition from the early 1900s through modern day. It is on Netflix or youtube.

I recently called the CCS to help me at my home. I was home alone, and scared. An officer on a motorcycle showed up to help me. He listened to me, and helped me when I needed it. The problem was taken care of and I felt secure. He was there for me in my time of need, and I hope in this officers time of need, we as a community are there for him.

It doesn't say any other terms of his sentence. Does he have to register as a sex offender? Will he be supervised after his release? Will he have to pay restitution to the child or the family? When I went to school we never had someone bring a gun to school with the intent on shooting someone. We also didn't have a cartoon channel, psp's, dsi's and most of our parents went to atleast one PTA meeting. We got our punishments at home if we got one at school, and we learned how to problem solve early on in life. Bullying out dates our country, it's not a new thing. Kids at the middle school age are cruel to eachother. Talking to your kids about everyday life helps, and get to know there peers. Gun safety is a must, but it won't teach them the value of life. We have the right to have weapons, and along with that right, comes responsbility.
