Build the hull (tub) and and seal it in epoxy, fair it out and then soak the surface in epoxy, lay your glass and apply another coat of epoxy over the glass, work out all air pockets with a fiberglass roller, fair again, apply epoxy again, if need be until you have faired to the finish you desire. The layer of fiberglass becomes transparent when the epoxy soaks into it and you don't even know it's been glassed.
