The exact number we're not sure since the police aren't releasing their crowd estimates, for whatever reason. I do know that they were expecting less than 5,000 to attend, but it obviously exceeded that number, which I've heard estimates ranging between 10,000 and 15,000 attendees. We arrived a few hours prior to the beginning of the Tea Party, and were surprised to see how many were already there and how many more were arriving with a steady flow. I moved around through the crowd for most of the 5 hours that we were there and I can honestly say that there were people of ALL ages there. There were many children that were attending which either took time from school or were on spring break. I was surprised at how many college-aged people were there, and very happy to see that there are actually so many of that generation which had not allowed themselves to be told what and how to think. If I were to estimate the average age of those attending, unlike Carville, I would say it was closer to 35, contradicting Carville's average age estimation by 37.4 years.
