AS you know, I'm not an Obama fan. But it seems very clear to me here that he is referring to the roads and bridges, not the business. Yes, he phrased it awkwardly. But it's like what he meant to say is: "Somebody invested in roads and bridges. (Things you need to use) if you've got a business. That--you didn't build (those roads and bridges)." This has always seemed like a stupid republican talking point.

That is a short answer indeed! I believe it has to do with the fact that we would actually be experiencing deflation induced by technological advancement, if it hadn't been for all the money printing. So they are able to hide behind that. It's covering up the effects. And they might get away with it as well. It's much harder to make the case that "yeah, there's really not much inflation right not but what you COULD have bought for your money would have been SO MUCH MORE if it hadn't been for the Fed." People shrug. It's still theft, though. Theft of potential.
