Another scary crew is out of BC. Neptune trucking comes to mind. They get goofed up on km vs mph.

The trucker was probably on his cell phone. I remember a terrible wreck on I205, wherein the truck driver admitted he had dropped his cell phone on the floor, and was searching for it when he slammed into stopped rush hour traffic.

The reason I remember it so well was, it turned out to be his second (and similar) cell phone crash in less than a year.

"Honored CItizens" did not get a COLA, for the first time in 30 years. Neil Goldschmidt led a freeway revolt against the unpopular Mount Hood Freeway, building consensus among labor unions and other powerful entities to divert Federal funds initially earmarked for the freeway to other projects, ultimately expanding the federal funds brought to the region to include the MAX Light Rail line.

"Back in the day" when Max was king, I was one of few voices saying, "don't put down permanent railroad tracks, go to flexible BRT - Bus Rapid Transit." BRT would allow all kinds of flexible transport options to work through times like these.

Now we are stuck with a railroad to nowhere - the Interstate line. Similar to another railroad to nowhere - used to build the Columbia River south jetty....

Unless you are experiencing it, you have no idea what the hell you are talking about.

On the other hand, what the do you have to look forward to? If the republicans have their way, you'll be working to age 70 or 72, and zero SS. Better get started on your "savings account," (and hope you have no catastrophic emergency in the meantime,) you're gonna need it.
