I was surprised that an enormous amount of co2 was held in the soil. If this is so, why haven't we heard about this before now, and whatever did happen to those schemes to combat desertification? Too costly were they?

Do you honestly believe that the UK government would stop funding jobs in Scotland?

That would be like taking our ball back because the Scots didn't want to play with us. Besides, where would the aristos get their cheap labour and would be servants. They did the same in Ireland with the CTA and to hell with the Unionists.
