Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Vent through 4/22

Please re-read my post. Apparently you misread. I stated that NONE of them didn't benefit. So, in other words. Some of the Republicans did benefit and ALL of the Democrats did as well. Is that clarified?

Both parties are to blame on spending. There are "some" in the Republican party and NONE in the democrat party that didn't benefit in some way from pork in the stimulus and omnibus bills. People that you have to recognize are the ones that are fighting NOT to take money from the stimulus and are being pressured too! If you can't see that both sides are to blame then quite franky, you need to do some more research. I voted for Bush twice and I was mad as hell part way through the 2nd term. You say that spending was controlled through a Democrat majority in congress? Out of those outrageous spending bills, how many did Bush vote? People keep making this into a REP/DEM fight when it's actually a Liberal/Conservative fight. Most of today's "Republicans" were yesterdays Blue Dog Democrats. Conservatism needs to come back to the front of these discussions. Solutions, not blame needs to be discussed. Thank you for reading my words. Goodnight.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Mission Statement

I would like to make my first post here and thank everyone on this site for helping me realize that I am not the only person sitting in traffic yelling at my radio. I have had plenty of debates with some of my younger friends that are liberals. Most of them have such a warped sense of reality it's downright scary. I was born into a broken family and raised by my father and grandparents (mothers side). I was taught old world values from the grandparents and street smarts from my dad. I was taught to believe half of what I see and none of what I hear. QUESTION EVERYTHING! I saw my fathers health decay from years of chronic illness and he passed a few years ago. In the last 20 or so years of his life he was fully disabled and on Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid. I grew up on food stamps and government assistance and that DROVE me to make myself a more productive man. My father was a great man that was just dealt a bad hand. When I was 18 I owned 2 cars. I was living in 1 of them and my father was sleeping in the other. By hard work, a lot of failures and a few successes I was able to purchase a house in 2001 to put him in. It was in that house that he finished his days. Now I take care of the only family member that I have left. I ask for no assistance, money or credit. I do the right thing because it's the RIGHT thing. In regards to my father. I watched how people took advantage of the system and by government making things easier, they are just breeding complacency. By the time my father passed he was trying to live on peanuts a day from a program that he had paid into(social security), while others that couldn't even speak the common language were getting so much more. Even now if you are an ESL (English as a second language) citizen you get addition tax credits. It's just frustrating to see all the work that I have done to make a better life for those around me get destroyed in a matter of a few short months. I still have hopes for this great nation and I am not going to fall asleep on my watch.
