Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : New Calls for Assault Gun Ban

I respect your opinions and you carry some very valid points, but i I disagree with your main point. I should think our founding fathers including Thomas Jefferson would also disagree. What if our founding fathers had the same mind set you have? What if they thought that they could have never beat the British? What if they thought that the British army was to big and could send in more reinforcements? What if they were afraid to die for freedom? In regards to the dooms day scenario you speak of , I have a few opinions and points. 1. People would unite, patriot armies would form. Strength is in numbers. 2. People would die, this is a fact of war. You should not fear death, but accept it as a fact of life. 3. Never ever underestimate the ingenuity, capability's, and size of weapons that people fighting for freedom can construct. No one is advocating we start a revolution with guns. But as you said, we just like to be prepared for a worse case scenario. The 2nd amendment is in the Bill of rights for a reason, and that reason is not hunting or self defense. The beauty of the second amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it. - Thomas Jefferson
