Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/17/09: President Obama Makes A Surprising & Strong Statement About Assault Weapons

So BO does not intend to renew the assault weapons ban ... that doesn't suprise me at all. The assault weapons ban (still in effect in my state of NY) affects only cosmetic features on weapons and does nothing to affect how the weapon actually functions. So my M4 does not have a bayonet lug under the barrel, has a compensator in place of a suppressor, and has a fixed stock in place of a collapsible stock (looks identical). It still shoots the same as any other M4. A renewal of the assault weapons ban would not suit the liberal agenda. I would instead anticipate some form of semi-auto rifle ban.
