i go to the games and cannot undrstand why. the only reason for feeling that way in the past 10 years would be perhaps GSTQ but it is the national anthem of our country

Googling can give you any answer to suit your oww train of thought.

(1) Has space or territory which has internationally recognized boundaries (boundary disputes are OK).

(2) Has a government which provides public services and police power.

and there are a few more. Northern Ireland is a country but not independent

Only because of a political decision and it is the only political decision that sepp blatter has accepted. He has threaten a host of other governments to not interfere with the running of football in their countries but yet of all abides with this political decision.

Agree fully if you do not want to play football for Northern Ireland then do not use the coaching provided by the IFA. This costs quite considerable amounts of money which would be better spent on some young player who would remain loyal to N. Ireland and repay the money spent on their coaching. Also Sepp Blatter keeps on about governments getting involved in football.was the GFA ruling about passports not a political ruling?

It was the FAI that broke away and formed its own association.

Its plain and simple the have used the IFA youth coaching whilst they are young and then all of a sudden decide they are not Northern Irish but Irish. Do you not think that this is a bit hypocritical. The IFA will have then wasted time and money on coaching kids who propably know where they stand regards who they will pick to play for rather than coaching the kids who will affiliate to the IFA. Why would a young player want to play for Northern Ireland when he is young and then change his allegiance? Now you ask yourself that question and don't give me the old sectarian bit because it's a long time ago that International games at Windsor Park have any of that.
